Founder and Executive Director: I.C. Theater

Creation of Non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation including authoring legal documents such as articles of incorporation and by-laws.
Fundraising, budget and accounting responsibilities.
Development of the core artistic membership of the company.
Architectural design of theatrical elements of the theater: hanging rigging, installing dimmers, building seating platforms, etc.

Founder: R.O.P.P. Arts Intervention Program

In 2005, Inner Circle Theater Company, under the direction of Chris Cotone, founded an arts based program to support teenagers in the Ventura County Repeat Offender Prevention Program (R.O.P.P.). The program, which was offered to students who were on supervised probation, sought to help youth offenders break away from the cycles of drug use and violence by providing a forum for artistic expression, with a strong emphasis on the finding of their personal voice.

“We encouraged our kids to tell their story, and more importantly, we listened. That was the foundation of our relationship with them. Through that relationship, we were able to convince them to lower their defenses, and let us show them love, which is of course, the only way we heal”.
